Glossy Abelia, Abelia grandiflora 'Edward Goucher' can seldom be beat for its extended blooming season that can last several months. Cascading branches host pretty pink, elongated blooms summer through fall. Typically, blooms are not as abundant as with some of the other flowering shrubs, but Glossy Abelia 'Edward Goucher' makes up for it with longevity. It will grow 4-6' tall and needs little extra attention except for watering under dry conditions. Glossy green foliage gives this shrub its name, and it's a favorite for a mixed hedges or borders.
