Aquilegia bertolonii 'Biedermeier mix' (Columbine) is a beautiful mix of pink, blue, lavender and white flowers. It will be a surprise to see the combination of colors when they all bloom! Aquilegia should be planted in full sun to partial shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Columbines are a profuse self-seeder, so it should be planted 12-18" apart. Create a woodland area with ferns, hellebore, hydrangea, heuchera & columbine to have blooms & foliage all year long. Columbine will self seed if not dead headed so plant each trade gallon potted plant one foot apart and watch it fill in over the years.
