Muhlenbergia rigens

Quantity must be 1 or more

Deer Grass, Muhlenbergia rigens, is actually a deer resistant ornamental species. It is named for its mounding form that is dense enough to hide baby fawns in the North American wild. In a residential or commercial landscape it provides beautiful tufts of arching blades. Near fall, cream flower heads surface and turn to tan as the season advances. Deer Grass, Muhlenbergia rigens has extensive roots and is an excellent selection for xeriscaping and erosion control. Its pronounced form makes it an exquisite border or accent plant.
