Escallonia 'Pink Princess,' Escallonia x exoniensis 'Fradesii', makes a gorgeous backdrop or hedge with its glossy emerald foliage. Bold, pink flower clusters emerge primarily in spring and fall, although happy plants may intermittently bloom year round. Growing up to 6' tall, this upright evergreen is dense enough to provide a lovely privacy screen. Escallonia 'Pink Princess' can be grown in full sun to part shade and is also a fine shrub for foundation plantings along walls and fences, including those in coastal areas.
