Gaura grows with long flowy stems with smaller pink and white blooms that sit at the ends. Their reaching stems flow in the wind and add whimsy to any garden. Loved by the bees and a great addition to any border to add texture and some taller blooms. Grows in a larger mound shape and does not spread.
Gaura is great at withstanding humidity, heat and is drought tolerant for those warmer places, but will need winter protection in the northern states.
Gaura will not self-sow. Prune Gaura in spring to improve overwintering. Blooms early summer into fall.
