Strike it rich with an abundance of golden foliage and Gold Strike Weeping Sedge (Carex oshimensis Gold Strike). The little brown flowers may be inconspicuous, but even the most striking blooms would struggle to vie with the beauty of this sedge's variegated leaves. They curve outwards from the crowns, forming a neat tuft of bright foliage. There are only thin strips of green on the outer edges of the golden leaves, so this plant will struggle in very deep shade, but it is at its best in light shade in moist to average soil.
