Emerald Carpet Kinnikinnick, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi 'Emerald Carpet', will enrich the landscape in brilliant green. As the name implies, it's a low, spreading shrub most often used as groundcover. It will bloom white-pink flowers in spring, followed by ornamental red berries in fall. Glossy leaves surround attractive red stems and look striking year-round. Emerald Carpet Kinnikinnick is drought tolerant and a great alternative to a green turf grass where foot traffic is not usually applied. It also serves beautifully in rock gardens and hillside garden beds.
