Liriope muscari 'Big Blue' adds a wispy and wild-flower like element to the landscape. Wide grass-like blades gracefully arch in tufts of dark green foliage. Late summer brings purple and blue flower spikes that make a splendid groundcover or edging. Growing 1 - 2' tall, Big Blue Liriope can be used in containers or planted as an accent in rock or meadow gardens. This species will naturalize well, but is not native to North America. Easy 'weeding' of naturalized plants will keep it from getting away from you.
