Nandina domestica 'Fire Power' could not be more aptly named for its fall and winter display of crimson foliage. Bamboo-like canes produce lime-green leaves in spring that slowly and steadily turn to fire-red in fall. It will retain its vibrant color through most of the winter making it an unbeatable accent plant for that season. Upright and compact in form, it is often used in Asian style gardens or as low growing borders and hedges. Nandina 'Fire Power' rarely needs extra attention, but can handle selective pruning for a desired shape or form.
