Vintage raspberry is a great addition to your raspberry patch to extend your harvest season. Raspberries are self pollinating so do not need a second plant but you can plant with Heritage to have a variety of berries through the season. Vintage ripens earlier than Heritage and can continue to produce into fall. Vintage has a brighter, more round fruit than Heritage who's berries are a darker red. Both varieties are tasty and beautiful. Raspberries can be planted in full sun but I've noticed here that they appreciate some shade and thrive there. Prune canes in early spring and watch the fruit ripen on the ends of new canes from summer into fall.
